Doca Telemetry skill
doca-telemetryNVIDIA/skillsskills/doca-telemetry/SKILL.md
Use this skill to read DOCA hardware-counter events from a `doca_dev` through the per-domain Telemetry reader libraries: `doca_telemetry_pcc`, `_dpa`, `_diag`, `_adp_retx`, `_phy`, and `_pci`. It covers capability checks, context creation, startup, and per-domain reads or samples. Trigger for implicit requests such as "read PCC counters from my BlueField app", "sample DPA counter exports", or "expose PHY, PCI, or DIAG counters from this doca_dev". This is the counter-reader surface, not a NetFlow, IPFIX, or local-socket collector. Route publishing and export to `doca-telemetry-exporter`; route the deployed DOCA Telemetry Service to `doca-dts`, and collectors and plain stdout logging elsewhere.

Install the Doca Telemetry skill
Skills CLI (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and others)
npx skills add https://github.com/NVIDIA/skills --skill doca-telemetry
Claude Code, by hand (all projects)
git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/NVIDIA/skills.git /tmp/skills mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills cp -R /tmp/skills/skills/doca-telemetry ~/.claude/skills/doca-telemetry
For one project only, copy the folder into .claude/skills/ in that project instead. The agent picks it up when a task matches its description.
What it costs your context
Agent Skills load in three steps. Tokens counted with the o200k tokenizer; your model's count will differ a little.
| When | What loads | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Every session | Name and description | 177 tok |
| When the agent uses it | The SKILL.md instructions | 3,470 tok |
| Only if opened | 8 bundled files (84 KB) | varies |
Until it is used, doca-telemetry costs about 7.7× less than the median MCP server we measured (1,363 tokens on every turn). Installing all 150 skills from NVIDIA/skills would load 20,796 tokens of descriptions. Skills vs MCP study
Checks
Our checks found nothing to flag: it follows the Agent Skills specification's naming and size guidelines and doesn't pipe downloads into a shell.
