# MCPSkillHub

> An independent, free MCP server registry. We index the official MCP registry, GitHub, npm and PyPI, then measure what no one else publishes: how many tokens each server adds to your context, a transparent security score, and real startup latency.

Every MCP server, measured before you connect it. Numbers as of 2026-10-19:
- 49,186 MCP servers indexed (41,266 from the official MCP Registry; 26,290 with a hosted endpoint) across 33 categories.
- 4,986 servers' tool lists measured. Median context cost: 1,396 tokens per turn; 90th percentile: 12,235; largest: 567,902 (o200k tokenizer).
- Freshness bands: active (≤30 days since last activity), maintained (≤90), slowing (≤180), stale (≤365), abandoned (>365), deprecated.
